Opened in 1909, The Santa Monica Municipal Pier is a historic cornerstone of Southern California life surviving severe storms, heavy use, numerous owners, changing times and an “Order of Demolition’ by the Santa Monica City Council.
As a recreational and entertainment venue--The Santa Monica Municipal Pier is a classic beachside pier offering visitors activities and things to do like concerts, free drive-in style movies, carnival rides, carnival games, sit-down dining (Mexican, American and seafood) and the experience of visiting an old-time wooden pier from a bygone era.
